I live in Albuquerque and volunteered for the Madrid campaign. I can tell you she didn't lose because she lacked an influx of cash at the end from the DNC. She lost because she was horrible in the only televised debate, which came late in the cycle. During the last two weeks of the campaign, Heather Wilson ran clips of Madrid's debate snafus over and over. I don't know how you counter that.
NM has 4 field organizers paid for by the DNC and they are doing excellent things on the ground here. I think we have to move away from this notion that more ads automatically mean wins. Often, the candidate's pros and cons are the controling factor. If anything, Madrid was a poor candidate with poor communication skills, even though her positions on issues were excellent.
