Eminem, Big Sean, Royce Da 5'9", Danny Brown, Dej Loaf and Trick Trick: "Detroit Vs. Everybody"

As the closing track on ShadyXV, a compilation marking the 15th anniversary of Eminem's record label, "Detroit Vs. Everybody" is an appropriately reflective coda. Several generations of the Motor City's most vital rhymers revisit the struggle they rose above to break out of their hometown while still defending it. Big Sean's verse, surprisingly, hits hardest: "Welcome to Detroit, where if you get that promotion, don't worry, man, them bullets will still be at your ass firin'." Even Eminem, who meditates on his pre-megastar days – while unapologetically comparing himself to child-beating Vikings running back Adrian Peterson (because he is Eminem and nothing is sacred) – admits, "I can't never leave this bitch."
