Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump has made plenty of enemies on the campaign trail – including YG and Nipsey Hussle. The rappers tap into the passion of Trump's detractors with their funky new track, "FDT" (or "Fuck Donald Trump"), posted Wednesday on Soundcloud, Spin reports.
The song quickly sets the tone, opening with a sample of black students venting about being kicked out of a Trump rally in Georgia. Over a smooth bassline and snapping programmed percussion, the rappers cut straight to the point: "I like white folks, but I don't like you / All the niggas in the hood wanna fight you."
Later, they voice the confusion of many Americans, rapping, "I thought all that Donald Trump bullshit was a joke" and begging voters, "Don't let Donald Trump win; that nigga cancer." After incorporating a sample of Trump outlining his controversial plan to build a wall on the Southern U.S. border, the duo negate borders by preaching a message of "Black Love, Brown Pride."
"It wouldn't be the U.S.A. without Mexicans," they observe. "And if it's time to team up, shit, let's begin."
YG and Nipsey Hussle join a long list of musicians who have publicly badmouthed the GOP candidate. Mac Miller recently called Trump a "racist fuckwad,"; Flea dubbed the Republican a "silly reality-show bozo"; and R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe told Trump and other like-minded politicians to "go fuck [themselves]" after he used the band's "It's the End of the World as We Know It (An I Feel Fine") at a rally.
