Tom Petty kicked off an American tour this month with his old band Mudcrutch, but don't buy a ticket to the show expecting to hear "American Girl," "Free Falling" or any of his other big hits. This is a Mudcrutch tour, and they're doing Mudcrutch songs with the possibility of maybe a cover or two. The only famous song that's even on the table is "Don't Do Me Like That" since it was recorded by Mudcrutch before it was redone with the Heartbreakers for Damn the Torpedoes.
Now we have a question for you: What is Tom Petty's best deep cut? Anything that's not an obvious hit will count. Feel free to vote for a 1970s gem like "When the Time Comes" or "Hometown Blues," a latter-day tune like "One More Day, One More Night" and "Dreamville" or even something that never made a proper album like "Casa Dega" or "God's Gift To Man." Just don't vote for a song that was a hit single or has since become a widely loved classic. Please only vote once and only for a single selection.
