Nicki Minaj announced that her 2015 Pinkprint tour in support of her 2014 album of the same name will air as a BET concert special on New Year's Eve. Her Brooklyn show at Barclays Center is the show that was captured for the film.
On Twitter, Minaj revealed that not only will the film air at 10:30 p.m. EST on December 31st, but the ball dropping on New Year's Eve will officially be the end of her Pinkprint era. BET later shared a scene from the film, where Minaj speaks in a confessional about appreciating every moment of her career before her "Feeling Myself" performance.
"I learned that I have to try my best to stay in these moments because some of these things that happen to me are once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and I'll never get to do it again," Minaj says during her interview.
Minaj's Pinkprint tour featured Rae Sremmurd, Tinashe and Dej Loaf as opening acts while Meek Mill served as the special guest. Minaj's mentor Lil Wayne made an appearance at the Brooklyn show to perform alongside the rapper, who has spent the year making numerous guest appearances on songs like Ariana Grande's "Side to Side" and a remix of Yo Gotti's "Down in the DM."
