For the 30-minute live-streamed portion of the concert, Lamar whipped out tracks from three of his albums, Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City ("Money Trees," "m.A.A.d. city"), To Pimp a Butterfly ("King Kunta") and even his breakthrough 2011 LP Section.80 ("A.D.H.D.").
Midway through the performance, Lamar allowed fans to come up on stage and freestyle over beats provided by the Wesley Theory, Lamar's backing band, to varying success. "New York City has always been a tough mother fucking crowd, so you better bring your shit," Lamar said after one amateur bombed out.
However, a pair of rappers pulled out of the crowd managed to impress Lamar, with one even freestyling alongside his hero for a few verses.
After giving fans an opportunity to showcase their talents, the live-streamed portion of Lamar's concert concluded with his Grammy-winning hit "Alright."
