Dustin Lynch is riding high on the country charts this summer, with "Mind Reader" marking his third consecutive Number One hit in May. Recently, the singer sat down in the Grand Ole Opry's backstage lounge to perform "Mind Reader" on his own, accompanied only by his acoustic guitar.
Written by Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip, "Mind Reader" took more than half a year to climb its way to chart-topping status. Stripped free of the pedal steel guitars and keyboard pads that fill the song's studio recording, Lynch's acoustic take on "Mind Reader" — watch it above — refocuses the spotlight on his voice. The timing of the song topping the chart is spot-on, with Lynch — who just recently launched his fashion line, Stay Country — hitting the road this summer for a string of cross-country tour dates alongside Luke Bryan and Little Big Town.
Along the way, he'll headline the Music City Gives Back show, a free concert on June 7th that takes place in the streets of downtown Nashville. Fellow performers include Canaan Smith, Craig Campbell and Rodney Atkins.
