FKA Twigs unveiled her short film, Soundtrack 7, on her new website, which offers a comprehensive digital catalog of her numerous projects from the past several years.
The 35-minute Soundtrack 7 comprises dance pieces Twigs created during her week-long 2015 residency at Manchester's Old Granada Studios. Described as an "abstract autobiographical piece," the film is split into seven sections, each of which features a new choreographed scene set to a different FKA Twigs song. The music includes recent single "Good to Love," EP2's "Ultraviolet," LP1's "Closer" and a new song, reportedly titled, "What I Wanna," featuring rapper Lucki Eck$.
Soundtrack 7 premiered at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in August and became available to U.K. viewers last month. The wide release is part of a website overhaul, which Twigs described on Instagram as "a creative project in itself."
Along with Soundtrack 7, FKA Twigs' new site features music videos, live performances and other endeavors like a recently-released documentary about her free dance workshop in Baltimore. The site also boasts an archive of Twigs' music, fashion and merchandise, plus an array of photographs from magazine spreads to behind-the-scenes shots.
