Ab-Soul raps amid a swirl of psychedelic images in his black-and-white "D.R.U.G.S." video. Director PANAMÆRA conjures a hallucinatory atmosphere with flaming apples and roses, foggy mirrors, hovering balloons and a woman's shrouded, haunted face.
Throughout "D.R.U.G.S.," Ab-Soul praises his many life loves – including his mother, fans, cousins and the music sent from "up above." "Last but not least," he adds, "I love drugs." (An opening sequence explains that the acronym actually stands for "Don't Ruin Us, God Said.")
The piano-heavy cut appears on the Black Hippy rapper's upcoming fourth LP, DWTW (Do What Thou Wilt), out December 9th via Top Dawg Entertainment.
The album, which follows 2014's These Days…, also features the Black Panthers-referencing "Huey Knew." On Tuesday, Ab-Soul posted the DWTW track list on Instagram, revealing guest spots from Mac Miller, ScHoolboy Q and SZA, among others.
