Jenny Lewis has formed a new band called NAF – an acronym for Nice as Fuck – with Au Revoir Simone's Erika Forster and the Like's Tennessee Thomas. The trio made their live debut Monday at New York's Bern NY Bern Bernie Sanders benefit concert and will next appear onstage later this month when NAF serves as opening act on M. Ward's tour.
Lewis recently wrapped up her own trek in support of her 2014 LP The Voyager as well as her 10th anniversary tour to celebrate her solo debut Rabbit Fur Coat; the next solo show on her itinerary is a stop at Bon Iver's Eaux Claires Festival in August. Lewis is the latest rocker to form a new project with Forster and Thomas: As Pitchfork notes, the Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiture previously linked up with Thomas and Forster for Summer Moon.
