It may have taken them awhile to get it going but Cole Swindell and Dierks Bentley finally cut "Flatliner."
The opening cut on Swindell's forthcoming album, You Should Be Here, is anything but DOA as a cheeky Swindell and Bentley rhapsodize about a heart-stopping beauty who's "got the pretty turned up to 11" over a rolling and tumbling groove. The pair even cut up a bit over the track, conferring about how to approach this dangerous looker with Swindell joking at one point, "What would Dierks do?" Those ad-libs were just a goof according to Bentley's Twitter, where he exclaimed, "flatliner bro! can't believe you left all those outtakes in there!! omg. love it."
Swindell's Twitter feed features a video of the recent ACM co-host shouting out his buddy's many successes and "Flatliner" itself saying, "Love the song, we've been talking about it for like a year and a half and finally made it happen and went into the studio and cut it and it sounds great. I'm honored to be on his record."
