If Blake Shelton plans on Bringing Back the Sunshine with his upcoming album, he's kicking things off in a darker place with the LP's first single, "Neon Light." (Hear it below.) The title of the bluesy just-released single refers to the "neon light at the end of the tunnel," where a post-break-up Shelton plans to drown his sorrows with "a big pitcher of someone new."
Earlier this month, Shelton announced the release of his 11th studio album, produced by his longtime collaborator Scott Hendricks. The album's cover depicts the water tower in the country superstar's home of Ada, Oklahoma, with sunshine cutting through dark clouds.
But things have been far from cloudy when it comes to the singer's phenomenal life and career. He is the CMA's reigning Male Vocalist (for the fourth consecutive year) and his previous album, Based on a True Story…, scored five consecutive Number One singles, not to mention the CMA Album of the Year trophy.
Oh, and he's married to Miranda Lambert.
Bringing Back the Sunshine sees the light of day September 30th.
