The Circus Is That Way

Harry’s (Fun) House? Harry Styles has been known for some eccentric looks during his Harry’s House residencies across the U.S. but this Grammys look feels like it’s better left on the stage — and not brought on the red carpet.

The multicolored, patchwork-style overalls call to mind a Cirque Du Soleil clown costume. And if we’re going with camp, go full-out. This just feel half-finished (and we’re not just referencing his bare chest).

Harry is reportedly wearing Gucci for his Grammys performance… maybe he’s just saving the best for later?

Midnight Blues

We love Taylor Swift, but this two-piece look feels a little… basic. For the Country Music Awards? Fine. VMAs? Maybe. But for the Grammys? Taylor has always pushed herself sonically — see the Midnights album — and we just wish she pushed her look a step further with something more worthy of music’s biggest night. The best part of this outfit is Swift’s earrings. Best believe, she’s still bejeweled and she could add more bling to her night if “All Too Well” takes home a trophy.

Pretty in Pink

Valentine’s Day came early at the Grammys Red Carpet, thanks to Bebe Rexha, who looked fantabulous in a Barbie pink dress. Tiddies? Laid. Farah Fawcett hair? Laid. Gloves? On point.

The Albanian-American pop singer may be nominated tonight for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for “I’m Good (Blue)” but we think she’s pretty great in pink too.

Lady in Latex

After showing up to Paris Fashion Week covered in 30,000 Swarovski crytals, Doja does her version of “demure” at the Grammys.

The singer arrived at the Grammys red carpet giving dominatrix realness in a latex dress with a cinch for the Gods. Doja is nominated for numerous awards tonight, including Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Woman.”

An “Unholy” Entourage

Two words: queer royalty. Sam Smith and Kim Petras are making history at the Grammys as the first pair of trans and non-binary stars to be nominated for a major award thanks to their collab, “Unholy.” Accompanied by RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Gottmik and Violet Chachki, who were featured in the music video for “Unholy,” Smith and Petras looked stunning as they posed in front of their matching blood red entourage.

Talk About Camp

If Lizzo knows how to do one thing, it’s how to take the spotlight on a red carpet. And the “About Damn Time” singer did exactly that with this bright orange dress, which she perfectly accessorized with an dramatic, flowery cape. Never want to skimp on the details, that lil swirl of hair on her forehead adds the perfect extra hint of campiness.

Let’s Go Cows

Shania Twain has a lot to celebrate this week, including a brand new album, but this brand new look is best set to pasture. The country queen’s outfit is giving Jessie from Toy Story 2 meets well… an actual cow. To quote Shania’s 2002 hit,
“Up, up, up, can only go up from here!”

Fiery Red

We’ll celebrate men every time they decide to wear something that’s not a classic black suit (when they do it well).

Jacob Collier took some risks with a hot red, oversized ensemble as he walked the red carpet, and we’re here for it. The singer and producer is nominated for two Grammys tonight, including a producing credit for his work on Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres.

Turnstile From the Clearance Aisle

What is this, honey? The boys of punk band Turnstile — Brendan Yates, Franz Lyons, Daniel Fang, Pat McCrory — opted against doing any sort of coordination and instead completely mismatched each other with looks worthy for a stroll around the mall but not music’s biggest night (I mean… those pants aren’t even ironed). Some effort from the three-time nominees would’ve been nice.

Vai Malandra!

Way to represent Brazil! We’ll say it now: Anitta — who’s up for Best New Artist — is one of the best-dressed females on the night. As she did with the viral dance for her hit “Envolver,” Anitta showed off her behind with a backless dress, accessorizing with a boa-like shall. Gorgeous.

A Winning Look

Even before she showed up to the red carpet, Brandi Carlile had already won a pair of Grammys on the night for her song “Broken Horses.”

And the singer/songwriter is looking every bit a Grammy winner in a classic suit with bedazzled sleeves and a vibrant pink shirt. The country singer could win big tonight as she’s nominated for both Record of the Year and Album of the Year.

Most Deserved Most Stylish

Rolling Stone’s pick for the most-stylish musician of 2023, Steve Lacy proved us right with this deceptively simple red carpet look.

Wearing Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello, the classic black suit gets some subtle upgrades, with a bejeweled broach, double-breasted construction and some pointy shoes to match. The clutch in hand and rock and roll sunglasses further elevate the look. Tonight, he’s up for several awards for his track “Bad Habit,” while his Gemini Rights won for Best Progressive R&B Album.

Dripping in Finesse

A royal blue gown fit for rap royalty. Cardi B made a dramatic entrance to the Grammys red carpet in this sculptural number, which would look equally at home in a museum or gallery. And while she’s missing a scepter, Cardi did have another royal-worthy accessory by her side: husband, Offset.

Idle(s) Worship

Who says a band has to be matchy-matchy? We’re here for the diversity in Idles’ looks, with five of the six members of the rock band putting their personal spin on a classic suit. We’re specifically living for guitarist Mark Bowen’s magenta dress, luscious hair, and poofy mustache though — for a second there, we thought that was Jonathan Van Ness! As the Queer Eye hairstylist would say: “Confidence is sexy!”

Pinky Promise

Kacey Musgraves took some risks with a feathery cape and a pastel pink bodysuit, and delivered one of the best looks on the night. The Golden Hour Grammy winner is slated to perform during the In Memoriam segment, where Loretta Lynn is being remembered. 

Un-Leashed

Gayle told Rolling Stone that she wanted to “stay and live” in her Reputation era during the awards show — and pulled up to the Grammys with a see-through lace dress that showed off some star-shaped pasties. I think Taylor Swift would approve this one! The Song of the Year nominee also teased “dominatrix type” jewelry and fully delivered by… wearing a leash!

Jack Be Nimble

Jack Harlow has worn variations of this tan, double-breasted suit on multiple red carpets now. But if he ain’t broke, why fix it right?

All the Rumours Are True (Mick’s Still Got It)

Mick Fleetwood is still showing the youngsters how it’s done, turning up the style factor with this black striped blazer adorned with gold trim. Look closely and you’ll see two tiny silver beads hanging from his belt – a nod to the two wooden balls the musician dangled on the cover of Fleetwood Mac’s iconic album, Rumours.

Fleetwood’s red carpet appearance marked one of his first big appearances since his bandmate Christine McVie’s death in November.

Music Princesses

Camila Cabello and H.E.R. know their way around a look — the two are both spokeswomen for makeup brand L’Oreal after all. They’re also princesses, with H.E.R. portraying Belle in Disney’s Beauty & the Beast and Cabello playing Cinderella in an Amazon Prime reimagining. On the red carpet, Cabello shined with a simple long skirt and pearled top from PatBO, while H.E.R. rocked a cinched black dress.

Couple’s Night Out

These two always pull through. Megan Fox looked royal as ever with a white dress, while Machine Gun Kelly channeled Wizard of Oz’s Tin Man with a two-piece sparkly silver suit. No red carpet would be complete without them.

Y2 Not Okay

Miguel went full Y2K with the denim on denim on denim on denim. (Yes, four layers if you count the shoes and hat!)

The R&B singer — who was nominated for an award and lost to Beyoncé — arrived on the Grammys carpet doing his best 2000s impression, but it just made us long for the time Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears did it better. For someone whose voice is so smooth, it’s a shame his style game is so sub-par.

Three’s Company, Boo

Anderson .Paak sandwiched between Best New Artist nominees Domi and JD Beck is giving mismatched wallpaper at grandma’s house. We half-expect the three to watch the Grammys from a plastic-covered couch. 

On their own, we can maybe get behind parts of these Gucci looks. But there’s a lot to take in when you put the three together like this.

Black Listed

Blac Chyna was apparently invited to the Grammys and the singer reality star social media personality came looking downright mournful in a black feathered ensemble. While we give her props for trying, the only attention this getup is ruffling up will be from PETA. And what’s with the smudged mascara? If we saw ourselves in the mirror in this outfit, I guess we’d be crying our makeup off too.

Bright and Mary

Good Morning Gorgeous is the name of Mary J. Blige’s Grammy-nominated album, and also what Blige probably said when she put on this gown for the first time. The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul is looking statuesque in this slinky, silver number. She might be adding an actual statue to her collection tonight, as Blige is up for six awards.

Gen Z’s Royal Couple?

Emphasis on that question mark, but with this sexy look, Charli D’Amelio and Landon Barker are representing the TikTok generation quite well. D’Amelio refreshed the classic LBD with a welcome peplum. And Landon Barker showed off some waist with his cutout suit and no shirt underneath. (We’ll just say it: They’re hot together.)
