The clip blends footage of the three MCs spitting the track alongside images from anti-Trump protests and detractors mouthing the song’s defiant hook. While the “FDT” clip includes some tense moments from those anti-Trump rallies, the tone remains lighthearted, with shots of protesters breakdancing in ridiculous Trump masks and a heartwarming final scene featuring a huge crowd singing “Fuck Donald Trump” in unison.
The original version of “FDT” featured Nipsey Hussle and appeared on YG’s new album, Still Brazy. Along with the Macklemore and G-Eazy remix, YG used the song in a mock attack ad, in which he recited the lyrics from a podium. The Compton MC has even named his next trek, “The Fuck Donald Trump Tour.” It kicks off September 18th at Observatory North Park in San Diego and features support from RJ, Kamaiyah and Sad Boy.
