Young Thug lounges around a house filled with models in his glitzy “Turn Up” video, a promotional teaser for his fiancée Jerrika Karlae’s swimsuit line, Karlae Swimwear. The clip, directed by Garfield Larmond, plays out like one lengthy swimsuit parade, as Thug and Karlae flirt nearby.
“I got what you want/ I got what you need,” the rapper-singer boasts in one of numerous sex lyrics. “Fuck you slow in the fast lane,” he warbles in his distinctive high-pitched, auto-tuned style over flute samples and blaring synths.
Young Thug – who broke out with a slew of 2014 singles, including the ubiquitous “Lifestyle” – has released two mixtapes in 2016: February’s I’m Up and the following month’s Slime Season 3. The rapper has yet to announce a street date or track list for his long-awaited debut LP, HiTunes (styled Hy!£UN35).
In May, Young Thug toured the U.S. with a fellow Atlanta rappers Dae Dae and Rich the Kid and producer TM88.
