Watch the Rolling Stones Light Up Europe in ’14 on Fire’ Tour Video
The Rolling Stones just wrapped up their epic “14 on Fire” European tour, which found them traversing 15,000 miles and playing for a combined 782,000 fans over the course of 14 sold out concerts. To thank the hordes that came out, the Stones have released a quick, fiery clip that opens with Keith Richards’ frank assessment of the current state of the group he’s played in for about 52 years: “This band is really picking up steam now, and there’s something in the air.”

Set to “Out of Control” from 1997’s Bridges to Babylon, the “14 on Fire” video features remarks and reflections on the European tour from the rest of the Stones, while mixing shots of fans from across the continent, behind-the-scenes footage and, of course, clips from the band’s continually over-the-top concerts.
“They give you so much energy, and they’re so vibrant and so alive, that I feel that,” Mick Jagger says of the huge crowds who showed up throughout the trek. “I’m just interchanging energy with them.”
One moment unfortunately not included in the recap was Bruce Springsteen‘s surprise appearance during the Stones’ headlining set at Lisbon’s Portugal’s Rock in Rio festival. The New Jersey rocker happened to be vacationing in Lisbon at the same time and joined the Stones on stage for an excellent rendition of “Tumbling Dice.”
With their European trek over, the Rolling Stones have their sights set on Australia and New Zealand, kicking of their next live leg on October 25th at the Adelaide Oval. The band was initially supposed to head down under in March, but was forced to postpone their dates following the tragic, sudden death of Jagger’s longtime girlfriend, L’Wren Scott.
