Watch the Rolling Stones’ Epic Latin America Tour in New Doc Trailer

Earlier this year, The Rolling Stones played a series of shows across Latin America, culminating in the historic free performance in Havana, Cuba. The whole experience is now captured in the documentary The Rolling Stones Olé Olé Olé!: A Trip Across Latin America.

The trailer for the doc is filled with shots of the exuberant, adoring crowds that greeted the Stones in every country. Band members pump fists, fireworks explode and classic Stones’ hits like “Sympathy for the Devil” and “Gimme Shelter” reverberate in the background.

The documentary will also focus on the local music scenes in the different countries the Stones visited. “In Argentina the Rolingo superfan culture is examined; in Uruguay the group visits a family of local drummers and jams with them … in Lima the band watches Afro Peruvian dancers perform before joining in with them,” said a statement. Throughout the trailer, voices from the crowds capture the spirit of the tour. A woman’s voice declares in Spanish: “The Stones are a religion here.” Another person asks: “How can you stop rock and roll?” The response: “It has no borders.”

The documentary by director Paul Dugdale will premiere Friday, September 16th at the Toronto Film Festival. Dugdale will also screen a film capturing just the Havana show this month. Havana Moon – The Rolling Stones Live in Cuba debuts Friday, September 23rd.
