Watch The Dirty Heads’ Mellow Live at Rolling Stone Set

Band buddy Rome pops in for trio of ‘Any Port in the Storm’ tunes

Hard-partying SoCal band the Dirty Heads, one of Rolling Stone's Best New Bands of 2010, recently brought their mellow reggae-rock grooves to our studios for an exclusive Live at Rolling Stone session. The band was accompanied by buddy Rome Ramirez, who happens to be the new singer of Sublime With Rome and also features on the band's radio hit "Lay Me Down."

Check out candid photos of the Dirty Heads and more of our best breakout acts of the year.

The breakout band and Rome performed a pair of tracks from their debut disc Any Port in the Storm for us: Up top, watch the Dirty Heads' laidback "Stand Tall," and down below check out "Lay Me Down" and "Believe," which name-checks main of the band's influences: The Beastie Boys, marijuana, Stevie Ray Vaughn, more marijuana and, of course, Sublime.
