Watch Tegan and Sara Mix ‘Miami Vice,’ Puppets in Retro ‘Dying to Know’ Video

Doll versions of Canadian pop duo phone exes, pilot tiny Lamborghini in new video

Tegan and Sara combine the disparate worlds of Miami Vice and puppetry in the charming new video for "Dying to Know."

The song's sinewy, day-glo synth pop fits perfectly with the clip's neon-at-night look as puppet Tegan and Sara speed through the empty streets in a tiny Lamborghini. Director Nathan Boey piles up the retro references as the pair plead with their exes on payphones and landlines. But as the clip comes to an end, the puppets embrace their freedom and hit the ocean on a speedboat (though not before checking the payphone coin slot for accidental change).

"Dying to Know" appears on Tegan and Sara's latest album, Love You To Death, which arrived in June. The duo previously said they would make a video for every song on the album and "Dying to Know" is the ninth, with only opener "That Girl" remaining.
