Watch Taylor Swift’s Glamorous, Retro ‘Wildest Dreams’ Video
Taylor Swift premiered the romantic video for her latest single “Wildest Dreams” during the Video Music Awards pre-show. The video stars Scott Eastwood — Clint’s son — as her love interest and was previewed on her Twitter one week before the ceremony.
Helmed by “Bad Blood” and “Blank Space” director Joseph Kahn, who had revealed on Twitter he shot parts of the clip in Africa, Swift and Eastwood star as actors in a romantic, dramatic film. They take their passionate relationship off-screen, only for Swift to see him with another woman at the film’s premiere. The pair take on a retro Hollywood glamour look while surrounded by exotic animals for the fake film.
Swift is nominated for nine Moonmen at tonight’s ceremony, including Video of the Year for her star-studded, Kendrick Lamar-remixed clip for “Bad Blood.” “Blank Space” has two nominations as well, for Best Pop Video and Best Female Video. In a similar fashion to “Wildest Dreams,” she premiered her “Bad Blood” clip at the Billboard Music Awards back in May after a much longer social media rollout.
Swift is currently wrapping up the North American dates of her 1989 world tour. Over the course of the tour, the singer has invited a staggering number of special, big-name guests to share her stadium stages, including friends such as Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas and Kendall Jenner as well as a diverse roster of veteran musicians and celebrities, from Julia Roberts to Lisa Kudrow.
