Watch Sleater-Kinney’s Career-Spanning ‘Austin City Limits’ Set
Sleater-Kinney recently wrapped up the North American leg of their reunion tour, and while what the future holds for the beloved punk band is still unknown, Austin City Limits has provided fans with a document of the group’s acclaimed reunion trek.
Making their first ever ACL performance, Carrie Brownstein, Corin Tucker and Janet Weiss provided a set list that spanned much of their discography. The group’s 2015 comeback LP No Cities to Love was represented by “Price Tag,” “A New Wave” and “No Cities to Love,” while the set list also featured “Dig Me Out” and “Words and Guitar” off 1997’s Dig Me Out and The Woods‘ “Entertain” and “Modern Girl.”
Sleater-Kinney’s ACL episode was split between the reunited rockers and Heartless Bastards, which meant some of Sleater-Kinney’s performance was omitted from the broadcast, like this version of Call the Doctor‘s “I Wanna Be Joey Ramone” that ACL shared a web exclusive.
Austin City Limits also posted an interview with Sleater-Kinney about their breakup, their reunion and their songwriting process.
