Watch Rick Ross, Skrillex Chill With the Joker in ‘Purple Lamborghini’
Following a months-long rollout, Suicide Squad finally arrives in multiplexes Friday. With the film’s theatrical release comes the new video for the soundtrack standout, Rick Ross and Skrillex‘s “Purple Lamborghini.”
While reviews of the blockbuster have labeled Jared Leto’s much-publicized appearance at the Joker in Suicide Squad as slightly more than a cameo (“a glorified walk-on,” Peter Travers writes), the actor is the star of the “Purple Lamborghini” video, first hanging out with Skrillex on a speedboat before making his way to watch Ross perform at a club. After recruiting both artists to join the Joker’s Suicide Squad, the trio finally embark on their mission, which is where the Colin Tilley-directed video abruptly ends.
“Purple Lamborghini” is the third video off the Suicide Squad soundtrack following Twenty One Pilots’ “Heathens” and “Sucker for Pain,” an all-star collaboration between Lil Wayne, Imagine Dragons, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, Logic and X Ambassadors. The album also boasts new Grimes track “Medieval Warfare” and Dan Auerbach, Action Bronson and Mark Ronson’s “Standing in the Rain.”
