Watch Rae Sremmurd’s New ‘Black Beatles’ Video With Gucci Mane
Rae Sremmurd have often embraced the decadent rock ‘n’ roll party lifestyle and on the atmospheric-tipped “Black Beatles” video the rappers turn up that vibe, whether it’s onstage, backstage or roaming the streets.
The clip opens with brothers Khalif “Swae Lee” Brown and Aaquil “Slim Jxmmi” Brown jamming out before heading to their performance. Scenes of them kicking it onstage, performing on rooftops, and going to and from shows are interspersed with clips of them hanging with friends and fans in haze-filled rooms filled with smoke and plenty of booze.
The video mirrors the song’s themes, in which they compare themselves to the Beatles and discuss the excess that comes with that level of fame. The rappers rock out, trash guitars and other equipment, party hard, don glamorous apparel and even emulate the Beatles’ iconic Abbey Road album cover with a brief shot of the rappers strolling a crosswalk single file.
Gucci Mane joins Rae Sremmurd for his verse during a performance and also in backstage scenes.
“Black Beatles” hails from Sremmlife 2, which was released on August 12th via EarDrummer/Interscope Records. They previously unveiled videos for the LP’s “Start a Party” – its lead single, “Set the Roof” and “Look Alive.” The rappers are currently on their first headlining North American tour, which culminates on November 16th in San Diego at The Observatory.
