Watch Puff Daddy’s ‘Finna Get Loose’ BET Awards Rehearsal Footage
Last week, Puff Daddy debuted his new Pharrell-assisted single “Finna Get Loose” as the grand finale of his Bad Boy mega-medley at the BET Awards. Now, the rapper has unveiled exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of that all-star performance soundtracked by Puff Daddy’s latest single. In the Armani Ortiz-directed black-and-white video, we watch as the Bad Boy mogul and a score of dancers prep for the performance, one of the many highlights from Bad Boy’s 20th anniversary celebration.
The BET Awards performance of “Finna Get Loose” has sparked a flood of fans uploading their own version of the song’s distinctive dancing. In the behind-the-scenes video, we see how those moves first materialized. While the BET Awards served as the world premiere of Puff Daddy and the Family’s “Finna Get Loose” single, it’s since been released to iTunes. The rapper also shared some footage from inside the “Finna Get Loose” recording sessions when Apple Music launched on June 30th.
The BET Awards medley featured guest appearances by Mase, Lil Kim, The Lox’s Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch, French Montana, Faith Evans, 112, Puff Daddy’s “Finna Get Loose” cohort Pharrell Williams and Chris Brown, who was so swept up in the performance that he jumped onstage to join Puff Daddy by surprise.
The 20th anniversary featured many of the iconic label’s biggest hits – “Mo Money, Mo Problems,” “All About the Benjamins,” “Love Like This,” “Hypnotize,” “Peaches & Cream” – as well as a tribute to the Notorious B.I.G.
