Watch Meek Mill’s Opulent ‘On the Regular’ Video
In the new clip for Meek Mill‘s “On the Regular,” the rapper enjoys the trappings of absurd wealth, including a mansion and a private jet. In a key moment, Rick Ross – shirtless but with his head partially swaddled in a blanket – shows up to discuss the contents of his lavishly decorated, wood-paneled library, including a portrait of himself and vintage newspapers that he says cost him more than $60,000. “This real shit,” he declares.
When Mill released his DC4 mixtape in October, “On the Regular” functioned as the bristling lead track. It builds around a vicious, gothic beat from MP808 and RaRa, and Mill raps with his usual breathless urgency: “Remember they said I was done? Fuck that: they ain’t know I’m the one.”
DC4 debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, shipping 87,000 album equivalent units in its first week. Seven songs from the release charted on the Hot 100, including “On the Regular,” which debuted at No. 75.
