Watch Major Lazer’s European Tour Diary in ‘Cold Water’ Video
Major Lazer showcased their European tour with a black-and-white, live video for their single “Cold Water.” The clip features a brief appearance from the song’s Danish vocalist, MØ.
The EDM trio capture the tour from backstage life to electrifying live performances. Though Justin Bieber sings on the majority of the song, the pop star does not appear in the video. The track’s other vocalist, MØ, shows up when her verse begins, highlighting one of her appearances during a Major Lazer live show. MØ previously joined Major Lazer for the massive single “Lean On” while Bieber had a hit with Diplo’s other project, Jack Ü with Skrillex.
“Cold Water” will appear on Major Lazer’s 2017 LP Music Is the Weapon. “It was spontaneous, no one thought it would work,” Diplo told Rolling Stone about the single, which features writing credits from Ed Sheeran and Benny Blanco. Just before debuting “Cold Water,” the dancehall group had released the single “Night Riders” from their most recent album, Peace Is the Mission.
