Watch Lana Del Rey’s Sultry ‘Salvatore’ Live Debut

Singer delivers impromptu a capella performance of ‘Honeymoon’ cut at Montreux Jazz Festival

Lana Del Rey performed her Honeymoon cut “Salvatore” live for the first time upon fan request at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland Wednesday.

During her set, Del Rey opened the show up to requests and seemed seemed surprised by the various shouts for “Salvatore.” “Really? That one? We’ve never even done that one,” the singer remarked. Still, Del Rey obliged and hummed her way into a shortened, a cappella version of the old world-style love song, which she delivered with hushed passion to the silent crowd.

The singer even added a bit of cheekiness to the impromptu performance, moving quickly to the song’s end and nodding to the crowd to join her for one final, “Soft ice cream.” Del Rey then transitioned from “Salvatore” into single “High By the Beach.”

Del Rey has a handful of scattered festival dates scheduled for this summer, including sets at Lollapalooza in Chicago and Outside Lands in San Francisco.
