Kendrick Lamar has released the epic, comedic video for the song “These Walls” featuring Bilal, Anna Wise and Thundercat. Comedian Corey Holcolmb and Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor Terry Crews also appear in the eight-minute video.
Colin Tilley, who directed Lamar’s VMA-winning “Alright” clip, is behind the video, titled Behind the Walls: A Black Comedy. The video intercuts between a prison and a party. At the prison, Holcomb’s character is in an interrogation room, claiming that Lamar is the person who put him behind bars.
At the party, Lamar is seen dancing with a woman so vigorously that they break through a wall of the house. There, he meets Crews who is revealed to be an associate of Lamar. The pair then crash a talent show where they perform the Vine-famous dance, Hit the Quan. When Holcolmb enters the party, he has just hit the back of a cop car with his vehicle and soon realizes that Lamar has been sleeping with the mother of his children. Because of the accident, Holcomb gets taken to the jail.
Lamar is currently in the middle of his Kunta’s Groove Sessions mini-tour.
