Watch Justin Bieber, James Corden ‘Carpool Karaoke’ After Grammys
Justin Bieber caught a ride with James Corden after the Grammys Monday for a special edition of “Carpool Karaoke” that featured more bantering than belting.
In the pre-taped segment, the pair pretended to rush to The Late Late Show studios after the awards ceremony, with Corden in a huff over their lateness — and matching white tuxedos. “We look like a pair of waiters on a cruise ship!” the host exclaimed, before making Bieber moisturize his T-zone to save some time.
To ease the tension, Bieber and Corden threw on Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” — which was crowned Record of the Year — and busted out some charmingly altered lyrics and a bevy of dance moves. They even brought back their beloved choreographed routine, “Big box, little box, cardboard box,” from their last trip together.
While “Uptown Funk” was the only song Corden and Bieber sang (outside the Late Late Show theme), they cracked about their budding bromance and compared Grammy swag bags. While the pop star came away with a Rolex, a diamond necklace, a mini iPad and other treasures, Corden was left with a Danielle Steel book, chapstick and a map of Los Angeles. Bieber did, however, sweetly re-gift his new headphones to the upset host.
“Normally I’d say, ‘Don’t, forget about it,”‘ Corden admitted. “But yes I will, thank you.”
