Watch Jack Antonoff Say ‘Thank You and Sorry’ in Docu-Series Trailer
Jack Antonoff and his band Bleachers are expanding beyond music with the upcoming docu-series Thank You and Sorry. The six-part scripted show will be available for free on Google Play starting June 16th.
The fast-paced, 30-second trailer for Thank You and Sorry has Antonoff playing himself and previews the show’s exploration of life on the road for the musician. Numerous actors will be featured in the series alongside the members of Bleachers, including Rosie Perez, Olivia Wilde, Colin Quinn and Jason Mantzoukas.
“Making records and being on tour constantly feels like a strange blend between real life and a production of your life the way you imagined it,” Antonoff said in a statement. “With that in mind, we did that literally with Thank You and Sorry. When we shot, we would script elements of real situations and the entire process started to become blurry as to what did and didn’t actually happen. Strange times.”
Bleachers released their debut, Strange Desire, last July. Since then, they’ve played a number of headlining and festival dates. They’ll be co-headlining the Charli and Jack Do America Tour with Charli XCX, which launches in July in San Diego.
Antonoff’s other active band, fun., are currently taking a break from producing new material as all three members pursue their respective solo or side projects. Along with Bleachers, Antonoff has also been working behind-the-scenes as a songwriter for several pop singers, co-writing hits like Taylor Swift’s “Out of the Woods” and Sara Bareilles’ Grammy-nominated song “Brave.”
