Watch Henry Rollins Make a Gingerbread House
Henry Rollins is enjoying the holiday season hardcore this year as, after joining Stephen Colbert in a Christmas carol growl-off, the former Black Flag singer also showcased his gingerbread house-making skills in a Late Show online exclusive. In the brief 30-second clip, titled simply “Henry Rollins Decorates a Gingerbread House,” the rocker meticulously applies frosting to his dessert abode before moving onto “Phase Two”: Tearing the gingerbread house apart and maniacally shoving it into his mouth.
The yuletide video comes just days after Rollins appeared on The Late Show and discussed why he’s so angry. “Anything that humans could do better, where they could treat each other and themselves better,” Rollins said of what sparks his furor. “My anger gets me up, puts more visas in my passport, makes me read more, ask more questions, makes me write more and move around more.”
The singer also admitted that while he doesn’t celebrate Christmas, he’s “not anti-Christmas.” As for how he’ll spend December 25th, Rollins said, “I’ll listen to records and curse the darkness.”
