Watch Fifth Harmony’s Sultry, Stripped-Down ‘Ex’s and Oh’s’ Cover
Fifth Harmony delivered a stunning, intricately layered cover of Elle King’s “Ex’s and Oh’s” during an appearance on the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge Thursday.
The group’s full appearance is available to watch, with their cover of “Ex’s and Oh’s” starting at the 8:34 mark. The quintet traded vocal duties during the verse, but true to their name, piled on the harmonies for the song’s catchy chorus. The result is a gorgeous wall of sound built beautifully over a simple, bluesy instrumental arrangement.
Fifth Harmony also delivered a delightful performance of their snappy, rising hit, “Work From Home” (starting at 1:55), its equally staggering harmonies balanced with individual, devastating diva vocal runs.
“Work From Home” will appear on Fifth Harmony’s upcoming LP, 7/27, out May 20th. The album boasts production from super producer Max Martin and members of his camp. “I literally went into the bathroom and cried,” Fifth Harmony’s Camila Cabello told Rolling Stone about working with the hitmaker. “I couldn’t believe I was having dinner and my favorite songwriters in the world were right next to me. That was a dream for sure.”
