Watch Bruce Springsteen Dance With His Mom at New York Concert

Rocker shimmies with 90-year-old Adele during “Ramrod” at Madison Square Garden gig

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s River Tour returned to New York Monday for their rescheduled winter storm-delayed concert at Madison Square Garden, and during “Ramrod,” Springsteen briefly left the stage to dance with one very important concertgoer: His 90-year-old mother Adele.

Guitar in hand, Springsteen headed up to the 100s during the solos to spend time with his mom. The Springsteens’ one-minute dance session earned a standing ovation from the crowd, especially when their song-ending shimmy was shown on the MSG jumbotron.

Adele Springsteen often attends her son’s shows in the vicinity of their native New Jersey, with the rocker’s mom recently joining her son onstage for “Dancing in the Dark” at Philadelphia gigs in 2009 and 2012. (Video evidence of Adele rocking out onstage with Bruce dates back to 1992.) Adele and Bruce’s sister Pamela were also in attendance and onstage when Springsteen and the E Street Band performed “Dancing in the Dark” at London’s Hard Rock Calling in July 2013:
