The refurbished Blink-182 reminisce about the monotony of school – and how much fun kids have once the day’s final bell rings – in their new video for “Bored to Death,” the first single off the band’s upcoming LP California.
In the video, Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and new member Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio rock out in a sweaty club while a bored student uses a pair of safety scissors to scratch into his desk. While defacing school property, the kid daydreams about his life on the outside: Trips to the record store, aimless driving, unsupervised use of a neighbor’s pool and Blink-182 concerts.
