Watch Ariana Grande Debut ‘Dangerous Woman’ Tracks on ‘SNL’

Ariana Grande might be popular enough to land a coveted host/musical guest spot on Saturday Night Live, but that doesn’t mean Larry David has heard of her. The comedian, who reprised his Bernie Sanders role on the latest SNL, was tasked with introducing the singer prior to her first performance, and he completely garbled her name, causing Grande to cup her hands around her mouth in shock just moments before debuting her new album’s title track “Dangerous Woman” live.
The momentary gaffe didn’t derail Grande as the singer delivered a scintillating rendition of her new single complete with a guitar solo and Grande using a Vocodor to turn her velvety voice synthetic.
For Grande’s second performance, David introduced the singer yet again and – likely after much practicing backstage – this time nailed her name; the audience could hear Grande laughing into the microphone as David gleefully enunciated her name correctly. Grande quickly composed herself for the vogue-filled live premiere of “Be Alright,” another new track off Grande’s upcoming Dangerous Woman.
Grande’s new LP is due out May 20th. During her SNL opening monologue, on the heels of Donutgate, Grande also sang about being ready for her first adult scandal.
Following a two-week break, SNL returns April 2nd with musical guest Gwen Stefani.
