Video: Robyn Shakes Up Peace Prize Event

Robyn just completed her second North American tour of the year, and she brought that same energy to a sedate-seeming crowd at Saturday’s Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo, Norway.
Introduced by Anne Hathaway, Robyn lulled the audience by opening with a gentle reading on the traditional Swedish folk song, “Jag Vet En Dejlig Rosa” (“I Know of a Lovely Rose”), which is featured on the first volume of her Body Talk trilogy. But she, her two drummers and two keyboardists shifted into her dance-pop powerhouse mode the next two tracks, “Dancing on My Own” and “Indestructible.” String players joined the band for the last song. Robyn danced energetically throughout the latter two songs amid flashing lights and vertical light columns behind the stage that changed color in time with the music.
The singer, who will finish out the year with three dates in her native Sweden this week, begins another North American tour on January 26 in Toronto.
