Just two days after singing a new breakfast-oriented version of “Yesterday” on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Paul McCartney was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live — where he sang more songs and appeared in more skits than any musician in recent memory.

McCartney not only performed five songs (as opposed to the usual two), but he also appeared in the opening monologue, a digital short and even Weekend Update, where he did an impression of Prince Charles’ wife Camilla Parker-Bowles. McCartney’s assault on New York continues tonight, when he plays at the Apollo Theatre to celebrate Sirius XM’s reaching 20 million subscribers.
