“Thought Ballune,” the latest single from the psychedelic rock trio Unknown Mortal Orchestra has a gentle, whimsical sound to it, but its video – directed by Jordan Blady and Ryan Knowles – is a bit surreal and creepy, with people at a party eating cupcakes that somehow turn their heads into floating balloons. Though the concept is a bit nightmarish, the execution is incredibly slick and cute.
