Two Against One

As Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi were working on their Spaghetti Western-inspired project Rome, both the musician-producer and the Italian composer wanted Jack White to provide vocals. But there was one hitch: White rarely works with outside producers. Fortunately, he made an exception in this instance. The album features three tracks that pair White's vocals with Ennio Morricone-style backup singers, including the single "Two Against One." As Luppi said, "To have Jack's voice, which is really abrasive and strong over this elegant music, was a huge turn in the making of Rome."
