The dust hasn’t settled on Phish‘s Magnaball festival and Trey Anastasio is already eyeing his next project: The guitarist will release Paper Wheels, his 10th solo album, on October 30th. In addition to his new LP, the Trey Anastasio Band will also embark on a brief autumn tour after Phish wrap up their summer trek in early September.
Paper Wheels was co-produced by Anastasio and collaborator Bryce Goggin and recorded at Anastasio’s Vermont studio the Barn. The album will feature contributions from longtime co-writers Tom Marshall and Steve “The Dude of Life” Pollak. The album is available to pre-order now at Anastasio’s official web store in a variety of formats, including a deluxe limited edition (only 4,000 copies) vinyl package with 180 gram 45 RPM 2-LP with a die cut gatefold package with six unique sleeves.
The Trey Anastasio Band lineup features drummer Russ Lawton, bassist Tony Markellis, and keyboardist Ray Paczkowski, alongside a full horn section including trombonist/vocalist Natalie Cressman, multi-instrumentalist James Casey, and trumpeter/vocalist Jennifer Hartswick.
After Phish’s jaunt wraps September 6th, the Trey Anastasio Band will hit the road starting with a two-night stand at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on October 16th and 17th. The group has also booked a Halloween show at Las Vegas’ Brooklyn Bowl. Check out ticket information at the Anastasio site.
