The Who
"Man in a Purple Dress"
Late Show With David Letterman

Pete Townshend And Roger Daltrey's recent acoustic performance of their new song "Man in a Purple Dress" on Late Night with David Letterman was a stunning moment for Who fans. Stripped of their touring band, the duo performed a strangely beautiful new song about the odd fact that judges in the U.K. wear such elaborate costumes. Daltrey's voice has taken on a slight bit of wear and tear, but Townshend's guitar playing has never sounded better. If this is any indication, their new album, Endless Wire, will be worth the twenty-four-year wait.
