Tour Alert: Mumford & Sons Plot ‘Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers’

Mumford & Sons
U.K. folk band Mumford & Sons will play four “Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers” in August to promote their upcoming second LP, due out in September. Each performance will have the feel of an outdoor festival, with local vendors and a lineup of supporting acts unique to each date and curated by the band – from St. Vincent and Dawes in Portland, Maine, to Gogol Bordello in Monterey, California. Tickets for all four dates will go on sale for $69, with no hidden fees or charges.

In support of his breakout album, Making Mirrors, Aussie singer-songwriter Gotye will embark on his biggest North American tour to date. Missy Higgins, Chairlift and Givers will join him for many of the stops. Kimbra, who guests on Gotye’s chart-topper “Somebody That I Used To Know,” will join him in Grand Prairie, Texas. Gotye’s debut album, Like Drawing Blood, will also be released in the U.S. for the first time in July.

Carly Rae Jepsen
Justin Bieber-endorsed pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen will join her mentor on his 45-city Believe tour this fall, in support of his upcoming album of the same name. Riding the momentum of her surprise hit single “Call Me Maybe,” the singer of Canadian Idol fame will help Bieber kick off the tour in Glendale, Arizona, on September 29th. Tickets go on sale in Canada on June 1st and in the U.S. on June 2nd.
