Tour Alert: Matthew Sweet Takes ‘Girlfriend’ On the Road

Matthew Sweet
Singer-songwriter Matthew Sweet will celebrate the 20th anniversary of his classic album Girlfriend this fall by playing the album in its entirety at a series of dates through North America. Sweet will also play numbers from his 13th studio album, Modern Art. “It’s quite a task learning the whole Girlfriend thing,” he told Rolling Stone. “I think in the beginning here, we’ll only play a couple songs from Modern Art, the easier ones.”
