The National Perform Brooding, Intense ‘Conversation 16’ on Letterman

The National appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman last night to perform a moody, intense version of “Conversation 16,” a track from their most recent album High Violet. It probably won’t be long before the band returns to the show – Letterman invited them to “come back anytime” when they finished playing the song.
