The Knocks Join Their Heroes on ‘The One’ – Song Premiere

Rising New York electronic duo the Knocks are set to release their EP, Comfortable, on February 18th. Ahead of that date, B-Roc and JPatt (real names: Ben Ruttner and James Patterson, respectively) have revealed “The One,” a buoyantly fun track that features the Australian EDM stalwarts Sneaky Sound System.
“This song was a trip for us to make because we have been such fans of SSS for so long,” B-Roc tells Rolling Stone. “They’re basically legends to us and treated us like equals throughout the whole process. We’re just glad we could do them justice.”

The Knocks take their name from the early days of their career, when neighbors used to pound on the door of their rundown apartment in the East Village. They’ve since found notable success as DJs and producers, drawn comparisons to David Guetta and Daft Punk. The duo has also remixed scores of artists, including Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Ellie Goulding, Foster the People and Passion Pit.
In support of Comfortable, the Knocks will perform in New York on February 20th, followed by a tour that will include stops in San Francisco, Aspen and Seattle. Full tour dates are available at the band’s website.
