Electro-blues duo the Kills have been focusing on their reggae-tinged single “Satellite” in most of their television appearances promoting their new album, Blood Pressures, but when they stopped by the Tonight Show last night, they switched things up and delivered a raw, dirty version of the album track “You Don’t Own the Road.” It was a pretty good call. Though Blood Pressures finds the band stretching out and bringing new influences into their signature sound, this song gets to the essence of what makes the band great – Jamie Hince’s heavily distorted blues riffs and singer Alison Mosshart’s badass charisma.
