The Doors Digging Up Rare Footage

The Doors are digging up rare footage to share with fans this December. The new Blu-ray and DVD R-Evolution features early TV appearances, music films, and commentary from bandmates John Densmore, Robby Krieger and the late Ray Manzarek. The collection tracks the Doors’ rise through the restrictions of mid-Sixties TV to establishing their creative control.
Why John Densmore Reconciled With the Doors
Most notably, R-Evolution sports previously unreleased and rare footage of the Doors. Beloved cuts like “Break on Through (To the Other Side),” “Light My Fire,” “People Are Strange,” “L.A. Woman” and more appear in the collection, as well as special features like a never-before-seen 1966 Ford training film with music from the Doors and outtakes from the group’s 1967 appearance on Malibu U.
R-Evolution will be out December 3rd and will also be available in a deluxe edition, featuring a 40-page book with lyrics, photos, trivia and more.
