Thai Prisoners Perform ‘Gangnam Style’ Ahead of Psy Concert
Even if you’ve seen “Gangnam Style” a million times – and somebody helped make it the most-watched video in YouTube’s history – there’s no reason you shouldn’t check out this rendition performed by inmates at the Bangkok Remand Prison in Thailand, as posted by the Bangkok Post. Bonus: Cowboy costumes are involved.
According to The Associated Press, 70 out of the 4,500 prisoners put on the show for media and corrections department executives today after competing in a “Gangnam Style” contest last week. Officials said the program is designed to help inmates relieve stress and keep them fit.
The tribute also comes the day before Psy is set to perform in Thailand, marking the K-pop sensation’s first show in Asia outside of South Korea.
