Stream the 2013 Bridge School Benefit

Neil Young and his wife Pegi held the first Bridge School Benefit in 1986 to raise money for a school that educates children with severe speech and physical impairments. With the exception of 1987, it’s been held every year since then. It always boasts one of the most exciting bills of the year, with everyone from David Bowie and The Who to Guns N’ Roses and Metallica performing completely unplugged sets.
Young typically opens up the show by playing a couple of solo acoustic songs, and he always plays in the final set before leading an all-star finale. This year features the first performance of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young since they wrapped their Freedom of Speech tour in 2006. Young often performs with some of the other artists on the bill, too. Last year, he played “Don’t Let It Bring You Down” with Guns N’ Roses.
