Starwalker, the new project from Air’s Jean-Benoît Dunckel, give underdogs a new anthem in their single “Losers Can Win.” In the video for the glammy, downtempo track, Dunckel is at his kitschiest, wearing a white suite and oversized round glasses. The video is set on a chessboard floor and it’s a tongue-in-cheek affair with consciously cheesy closeups and a whole lot of confetti, glitter and ping pong balls being thrown around the room.

But there’s also some hope buried within, too. “The video reflects the feeling of being a part of a game,” Dunckel tells Rolling Stone. “When each game finishes, we play a new game. Sometimes we win and sometimes we lose. But sometimes losing is winning. ‘Losers Can Win’ is about courage and karma.”
“Losers Can Win” is the title track for Starwalker’s debut EP, out March 18th.
